| Good demand for human grade
soya is
expected only from the year 2005, whereas the demand for animal grade
soya and for Cattle Feed is increasing day-by-day. The company is trying
to keep-up supplies to the ever-increasing order book. Some of the
customers are capable of lifting the entire plant capacity. For example
during 1999-2000, sales to M/s. Pioneer Feeds (P) Ltd., Coimbatore alone accounted for Rs.
740 lakhs. Company’s Full Fat soya is already gaining
importance among Poultry & Shrimp Feed manufacturers in India, as it
is a concentrated source of both protein and fat. In the Cattle Feed business, the company is expanding its network of Stockists from the present 20-25 Taluks to 40-50 Taluks in Karnataka in the next 2 years. In Full Fat Soya, the Plant is only one of its kind in the entire South East Asia, whereas in Expanded Cattle Feeds, the plant is the only one in South India.
